The Project

Freedom West needed a website to communicate the first stage of Freedom West 2.0: the new Senior Housing Building. Defining, a strategic brand and design partner, created the original visual direction through the stakeholder pitch deck, establishing the look, tone, and presentation style for the initiative.

From there, we translated that visual foundation into a clear, scrollable web experience designed for residents, families, and stakeholders.

The goal was to make a complex community development initiative feel accessible, reassuring, and easy to understand.

Bringing the Vision Online

The website introduced the new Senior Housing Building as the first step in revitalizing Freedom West while staying rooted in the community’s legacy of empowerment, collaboration, and affordability.

We structured the page to guide visitors through the story in a natural way: the vision, guiding principles, government support, amenities, affordability, qualifications, relocation process, timeline, FAQs, and contact form.

Clear Information for a Sensitive Decision

Because the page speaks directly to residents and potential senior housing applicants, the content had to be simple, supportive, and easy to scan.

We organized the most important information around affordability, amenities, qualifications, relocation, and timing, helping visitors quickly understand what the opportunity meant for them.

Guiding Residents Through the Process

To make the experience feel more practical, we gave the relocation, construction, and move-in timeline its own clear structure. This helped residents see what would happen next, when key milestones would occur, and how Freedom West would support them along the way.

Design Translation and Impact

The pitch deck created a strong visual foundation with bold typography, yellow accents, community-driven imagery, and a balance of optimism and urgency. We adapted that direction into a digital experience that felt modern, warm, and easy to navigate.

The DOSE Method helped us keep the experience focused on the resident journey, balancing optimism with reassurance and practical guidance. The result is a focused website that turns a major redevelopment milestone into a more approachable, human-centered digital experience.
